History

Argenio Brothers is a family owned and operated company.  The current ownership make up has been in place since the mid 1980’s with very few changes.  Our roots go back to the early 1900’s when Louis Argenio began a horse drawn trucking business in Newburgh, NY.  Obviously there have been many changes through the years, in 1967 the name Argenio Bros. was adopted due to the new Corporate make up and Argenio family membership at that time.  Argenio Bros. currently operates in the lower Hudson Valley Region of New York with Genaro J. Argenio still serving as President, one of the original members from 1967 still active as of this writing.

The most important key to the success of Argenio Bros. is its work force.  We have found success by creating a culture of excellence among our associates.  Our Managers are held to a high moral and ethical standard, both personally and professionally.  Being a family-owned company, we understand the value and strength family can bring. It is part of our corporate mission to create a family culture that transcends all that we do.

Controlled growth while recognizing and taking advantage of opportunities in the market place have proven to be one of the keys to our success.  Ninety plus percent of the work we perform is self-administered with approximately 10% being performed by a key group of vetted sub-contractors.  This business plan allows us greater control of the finished project by having control of the entire project from the Managers to the mechanics that actually assemble the project.

Safety

It is our belief that the safe execution of our projects is more important than the execution of the project itself.

Safety of the people and the groups we impact, along with insuring the safety of our employees is our number one priority.  On the most basic level, at the end of each work day every associate of Argenio Bros., from the administrators and the estimators to the Laborers and Operators are expected to arrive home in substantially the level of fitness they were in when they left for work in the morning.  Our Experience Modification Rating has consistently been maintained below the industry average of 1.0 over the past twenty years.

At minimum all of our tradesman are required to have achieved current OSHA 10 training, most of them have achieved OSHA 30 level safety training.  In addition to this many of the tradesman employed by Argenio Bros. have received training in the following areas;

  • Confined Space
  • Lock out / tag outCDL training
  • DEC erosion control
  • Competent person, trench safety
  • CPR and First Aid
  • Flagger Safety
  • NYSDOT Traffic Safety Supervisor
  • Respiratory Safety
  • Rigging Certification
  • Hand and Power Tool Safety
  • Asbestos Training
  • DIG Safe Certification

Team Building

Technology

We own and operate a fleet of latest model equipment that we utilize to complete the projects for which we are engaged.

In order to stay at the forefront of all that we do, Argenio Brothers utilizes cutting edge Global Positioning System Technologies. The introduction of this G.P.S. technology has enabled Argenio to deliver projects in a more efficient, timely and accurate fashion. We use machine control grading technology in compilation with a 3D finish surface model to achieve the most accurate grading in the industry. This technology has enabled us to perform stakeless grading, virtually eliminating the need to have a grade checker on the ground while machines are moving in close proximity. In compilation with machine control we also practice the use of GPS technology as a stake out tool. This enables us to have real time horizontal and vertical datum at an infinite number of locations on the projects we execute. In addition to our terrestrial G.P.S. technologies, we frequently deploy our survey Drone to gather aerial data. This aerial effort allows for high resolution orthomosaic imagery to assist in stakeholder visibility. This technology permits for progress monitoring, live time volumetric and detailed cut-to-fill analysis.
